This is the framed flag and certificate. Kanalu's aunt explained that it is given to us because Kanalu's father appreciated how we supported his son during his time at Meadowlark while he was flying missions in Afghanistan supporting our country's Operation Enduring Freedom.

Kanalu was such a nice addition to our class and adapted so easily into our room that it was a gift to have him as a student and a friend. We miss him, but know he is glad to be back in Texas with his Mom. I have asked his aunt Kristi for an address to write to him and also for Capt. Wong so that we can thank him for this one of a kind gift to a Kindergarten class!
